(no subject)

Sitting there watching TV in the living area.

Then I start hearing "drip, drip, drip".

I mute the TV and don't hear anything.

Go back to watching TV.

"Drip, drip, drip, drip."

Oh, it must be...raining. There wasn't rain in the forecast. I step over towards the short corridor that leads to either my bedroom or bathroom. And there's "drip, drip, drip" in my bathroom. I turn on the light and there is water dripping from the ceiling over half of my toilet and over the bathtub/shower...

The dripping stops after a minute or two.

So, I call the leasing office's answering service. They take down my number, apt number, and problem. A few minutes later, a maintenance guy calls. I describe the problem and told him that it had stopped. He came up with the same conclusion I did - the "rhino/elephant/hippo" upstairs probably has a leak. Since the dripping stopped, the maintenance dudes will be in first thing in the morning.
